Someone group of pant-wetting macho whiner wannabes - called "Move America Forward" (toward any convenient cliff, apparently) - has made an ad for Gitmo. An ad...for Gitmo.

You've got to watch it. The message: if we close Gitmo ... they'll BRING THE TERRORISTS HERE!!!! To Leavenworth, and similar hyper-security prisons.

Do these people think that the average American walks around afraid of people in Leavenworth?

Activist Judges!

I'm sure there will be a great outcry from the "Activist Judges!" Feinting Section over this:

A U.S. military judge at Guantanamo Bay who once acknowledged facing Pentagon criticism over one of his rulings was dismissed Thursday from the case of a Canadian detainee, a defense lawyer said.

Army Col. Peter Brownback had presided over the tribunal's proceedings against Toronto-born Omar Khadr since last year.

The chief judge for the Guantanamo tribunals, Marine Col. Ralph Kohlmann, dismissed Brownback and appointed a new judge for Khadr's case without explanation, defense lawyer Navy Lt. Cmdr. William Kuebler said.

In November, Brownback said in court that Defense Department officials "didn't like" a ruling that dismissed the charges over a lack of jurisdiction. That decision was overturned on appeal.

The document was signed by Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Miller. According to media reports, Miller introduced harsh interrogation methods to Guantánamo, such as shackling detainees into stress positions and using guard dogs to exploit what the former head commander in Iraq Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez referred to as "Arab fear of dogs."
Miller visited Iraq in 2003 to share the Guantánamo methods. Soon after that visit, the infamous Abu Ghraib photos were taken.
