DC Madam Commits Suicide

Damn.

Deborah Jeane Palfrey was convicted two weeks ago in her prostitution case. Last night she committed suicide.

Senator David Vitter was one of her customers, or, as he put it, he "made some mistakes" that were related to Ms. Palfrey's business.

Vitter didn't have to testify in the case, and, of course, he's still a senator.

If he had had to testify, maybe he would have killed himself, too. Hard to tell, huh?

Condolences to the friends and family of Ms. Palfrey.

Update: Author Dan Moldea says the conspiracy theories about Palfrey's death are misplaced.

Background info here.

Police in Tarpon Springs, Fla. were called to the home of Palfrey's mother, Blanche, to investigate an apparent suicide

She could name names of some very high ranking officials. She was murdered - you can bet on that.

My pat answer to this news:

if it quacks like a duck,
and walks like a duck

it's more than likely a duck.

Chance of suicide VERY low.

I find the suicide angel a bit hard to swallow myself.

"angel"? What the? The previous acid trip (video) got to me.... That's "angle". (If that's all acid trips do for me there's not much of a point, eh?)
