Obama Address, 11/22/08

Report at CNN, and from the Obama site, Change.gov:

President-elect Barack Obama has directed the Transition's economic team to develop the details of a bold plan to save or create 2.5 million American jobs by 2011.

Here's a thought: I think it's pretty freaking awesome that we will soon have a president that we may actually want to listen to. He may actually have something intelligent and thoughtful to say. Something that makes people think - not cringe. Pretty nice, if you ask me.

Take it away, B. Hussein O.:

2011? That is too far away to make a difference in the middle class and jobs. We need job opportunities to open up the summer of 09 and plenty of jobs in 2010. The dramatic raise in depression and suicide is at an all time high. Funds need to be appropriated to each state to allow continued community supports for those needing assistance through non profit federal and state grants for the department of rehabilitation services and for centers of independent living (CILs).
