Give War a Chance

These people are insane. I mean that literally. Fox News' William Kristol, voice of many in the Modern Republican Party, says that there should have been airstrikes on Iran while the British hostages were there:

WILLIAMS: Well, what was the alternative? To go in and strike them while the hostages were there?

KRISTOL: Yes.

WILLIAMS: I think that’s an overreaction. I think that would have prompted war. I don’t think we want war.

Gee, I wonder what would have happened if there'd been airstrikes on Iran? Hmmm.

To Kristol, and to too many people with far too much power, the fact that those hostages are home and that the situation was resolved peacefully was a bad thing. While we're already in the mess that is the Iraq War, while U.S. generals say our forces are already strapped, he advocates for wider war with their much larger neighbor (Iraq: about 28 mil.; Iran: about 68 mil.)
