Gee, I wonder what would have happened if there'd been airstrikes on Iran? Hmmm.
To Kristol, and to too many people with far too much power, the fact that those hostages are home and that the situation was resolved peacefully was a bad thing. While we're already in the mess that is the Iraq War, while U.S. generals say our forces are already strapped, he advocates for wider war with their much larger neighbor (Iraq: about 28 mil.; Iran: about 68 mil.)
