Dire Straits - the album, not the band - has moved into my car, set up its tent, and won't leave. I've even started rewriting songs for Mark Knopfler: "Hey Mark, donchu think it should have been 'Harry made a bareback rider / Mona Lisa - on a horse...'?" Arrogant, I know, but it just happened by accident the thirteen hunredth time I heard it.
But that's not why I'm here.
I learned a snappy little version of "Wild West End" the other day, and I learned it by watching a video on YouTube. Took me a while to figure out what the tuning was (DGDGBD), but I finally got it and even debuted it at a tiny gig on Monday night. I don't know this guy, but I like his style.
