They're Protecting Billionaires, Not Telecoms

The FISA legislation story needs to be framed differently: the Bush administration is not trying to protect telecoms from legal action for breaking the law, which is bad enough - they're trying to protect the people who own and run those mega-corporations, people they've dined with, sipped sherry with on $25 million yachts, and had a jolly good time hunting quail with on gajillion acre Texas ranches.

They're not trying to protect telecoms, they're trying to protect their lawbreaking billionaire friends.
