Work ethic
Just for the record, I have never in my life met anyone who quit working because their taxes were too high, nor have I ever even heard of someone who suddenly wanted to work harder because of a tax break.

I have.
I know someone who didn't want to retire, but found that putting in eighteen hour days just wasn't worth it when the government was taking more than half of what she earned. So she stopped working.
